Avery-2 years old- loves Christmas this year! Refers to Santa as "HO HO"
Cody-5 months- First Christmas! Loves to try to eat wrapping paper:)

Dan took vacation before shutdown this year so we could spend more time with our families in Indiana. We had our family Christmas a little early this year. Avery is starting to understand who Santa is but not much more than that. This will probably be the last year that we will be able to get away with having our Christmas on a different day. We had not wrapped or put any presents under our tree until we put the kids to bed the night before we opened gifts. When Dan got Avery the next morning she noticed those presents right away! They were just out of her bedroom door when she pointed and said, "Look, PRESENTS! The HO HO came!" She was sooooo excited to get down stairs. It was a lot of fun to see her reaction!

She loved opening the presents and loved helping with Cody's too!

Cody's first truck! Daddy enjoyed picking that out!

Her excitement continued with each gift. Mommy enjoyed picking out some new dolls for Avery.

Cody got into ripping some paper off...but then tried to eat it so we had to take it away:) We really enjoyed our family time. Avery ended up playing with Cody's presents more than her own...it's so funny how kids seem to do that! After we opened gifts we started packing up to head to Indiana. In the midst of packing up we got a call from our realtor that a couple wanted to walk through our home for the 2nd time...so, we had to run around crazy and try to get everything in its place again, plus pack the car and keep Avery from pulling all the toys that were put away, right back out again- a little stressful but maybe it will pay off when the sign out front says: SOLD...we shall see.
